Job Description

Milwaukee opportunity for a Product Development Program Manager guru in a project management, development role in heavy industry, ag and construction machinery, material handling equipment and aftermarket industry. Product lifecycle, management, working with customers to develop ideas. Facilitate meetings, projects and know fundamentals of project management (stage gates) and standardize methodologies. Improve current delivery and work towards an organization that is more tolerant and performs better in a back to front situation. Change agent.


6 to 8 will report to this role on the team.  It is the #2 operational role in this $40MM business unit. Macro oriented role. Program/project management. Work with a team. Mentor the team. Lead the charge in process improvement. Classic automotive big program management guru master sgt. Leadership role. Put processes in place; improve process; lead coordinator mentor resources. Quality, purchasing, outside suppliers, customers. Structured, disciplined and formal enough and explain stage gate 1, 2, 3, and all stages in between. Understand stage gate product development theory/process inside out, help institutionalize it, educate people so it becomes standardized platform i.e. how they do things. Ensure it is utilized uniformly across organization.

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from four-year college or university; or 8 years product development experience and/or 2 years program management experience.
